Service Scope

1. Corporate Level: Oasis
  • Service Providers:Corporate Clinical Psychologists
  • Service Scope
    • Establish Committee on CIPS: Advise the development and strategic planning of CIPS
    • Provide training on CIPS: Organize professional training, drills and supervision for CIPS Centre Managers (Social Workers) and CIST Members
    • Consultation on critical incident services: Clinical Psychologists chair the Critical Incident Service Planning Meeting to assess service needs and plan services based on staff's needs with the involved departments
    • Provide individual crisis interventions: Provide psychological first aid services to affected staff
    • Provide group crisis interventions: e.g Crisis Management Briefing – Clinical Psychologists introduce common stress reactions, coping strategies and available resources to affected staff after critical incidents
    • Arrange family crisis interventions: Provide critical incident support services to the family of staff
    • Provide grief support services: Oasis, CIPS Centres and CISTs provide grief support services to affected staff and department e.g. setting up memorial service or memorial corner

2. Cluster Level: CIPS Centres
  • Service Providers:CIPS Centre Managers (Social Workers)
  • Service Scope
    • Arrange psychological triage
    • Provide counselling services
    • Organise psycho-educational talks and groups
    • Assist in providing critical incidents services and grief support services
    • Assist in organising activities on prevention and promotion in psychological health
    • Manage Psycho-educational Resources Library
    • Render executive support to Clusters Staff Psychological Services Clinics and CISTs
    • *Note:A CIPS Centre is eatablished in each cluster.

3. Hospital Level: CISTs
  • Service Providers:CIST Members (who are hospital staff from various disciplines) who are trained and supervised by Oasis
  • Service Scope
    • Provide peer emotional support
    • Assist in providing critical incident services and grief support services
    • Provide short-term follow-up and referral services
    • Organise staff psychological caring activities
    • Assist in organising activities on prevention and promotion in psychological health
    • *Note:A CIST is established in each hospital.
